Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Tickets on Schedule for November!

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Those Mayweather vs. Pacquiao tickets are going on sale, make no mistake about that! From Manila, Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has spoke again about his desire to step into the ring with his rival and sort this thing out once and for all. Pacquiao, currently enjoying recognition a newly elected Filipino congressman, has suggested that November will be the month Pacquiao Mayweather tickets yield their boxing bounty. There was some discussion as to whether Pacman’s opponent might actually be Antonio Margarito, but we are to expect a Pacquiao Margarito fight to be simply another stopgap before the Mayweather fight comes along – and a very poor second choice at that! That’s not to say that Margarito isn’t a fine boxer and a tough opponent, it’s just not got the same ring to it as Pacman versus MoneyMay!

Two dates now loom on the world boxing horizon: November 6 and November 13. These have been reserved for a fight at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas, and it can surely only be one fight.

Everyone wants to see Pacquiao and Mayweather fight, and nobody knows who will win. That’s the beauty of this matchup; it’s quite literally the best prospect for a real bout in years. It’s a welterweight era right now, and watching the world’s top two will be a massive treat for fight fans. The pound-for-pound kings are likely wary of facing each other, but the purse from this one is so huge that neither fighter can really afford to refuse it. When the scheduled Mayweather Pacquiao fight fell through in March, it looked hopeless, but now a new hope is in the air, and it could well be on again. Mayweather v Pacquiao tickets in that glorious stadium…heaven if you’re a boxing fan…just a case of waiting to see who’ll win now. What a fantastic year in boxing, and it’s about to be crowned with the biggest fight in decades in November.

Pacquiao gave an unexpected reason for his sudden re-interest in facing Mayweather: His mother said it was OK. The decision to climb back in the ring was sanctioned by Pacman’s mother Dionisia, and Pacquiao explained, “So many fans want me to fight Mayweather so I asked my mother to allow me to fight one more time, and she said, ‘Okay’. My mother agreed.” And it’s gonna be awesome….thanks, Mrs. P!

Mayweather Pacquiao Tickets are Back On?!

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

So, it’s done; Mayweather has done the business on Shane Mosley and everyone went home happy. Everyone except Mosley of course. Immediately, the big discussion in world boxing turned once more to whether Mayweather Pacquiao tickets will be on the boil sometime later this year. According to those in the know, Pacquiao has reconsidered his perspective on drug testing and the stricter regulations that Mayweather’s camp postulated. When their huge fight collapsed in January, 2010 many believed the differences were irreconcilable but now with this latest Mayweather victory we are looking at the prospect again of these two guys going at it.

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is the fight of the decade, no question, and tickets will sell like wildfire. These guys are without doubt the top two fighters in world boxing. This superfight is going to outstrip all others, in ticket sales as well as PPV; Mayweather broke the pay-per-view record of 2.45 million in his victory over Oscar De La Hoya back in 2007, but he isn’t finished yt. The money involved here is something most boxers can only dream about, but both of these guys deserve it and are stil interested in making it happen. Once the camps are agreed on terms for drug testing, it will be all systems go. Maybe the original reason I created MayweatherPacquiaotickets.com will finally happen! I cannot wait.

It was a double anti-climax in a way, when Pacquiao fought Joshua Clottey and Mayweather beat Mosley, despite Mosley rattling Floyd a little before the man got it together and did what only he can – well, only he and Pacquiao. In the meantime we have to think about stuff like Cotto v. Foreman at Yankee Stadium, Khan v. Malignaggi fight tickets and Beranza v. Kennedy tickets, but all the while the Mayweather Pacquiao thing looms in the background. The accusations by Mayweather, that Pacman was using performance-enhancing drugs, seems to have subsided, as Mayweather’s crusade against drug use in the sport continued way past the moment the Pacquiao fight collapsed. In fact, many are saying that Money May’s stance on drug testing could even lead to better regulation and ruling on such issues.

Who Will Win, Mayweather or Mosley?

Who Will Win, Mayweather or Mosley?

Mayweather Mosley tickets are the hottest ticket in world boxing right now, as the fight draws near, and we have decided to draw up a little comparison of the two fighters, in order to cut through the rumors and smokescreens that appear to be blocking peoples’ ability to predict who will win this fight. Who will win Mayweather v. Mosley? It’s a good question. One factoid that a lot of Mayweather fight fans won’t like to hear is that Shane Mosley has lost just once in the last six years and is currently on the up and up, as he smashes his way through a variety of well-ranked fighters. Mosley is in fact a rejuvenated boxer right now, and it is right that he be given this chance to impress the globe in a wonder fight against the man many consider to be the very best – even above the revered Manny Pacquiao.

Mosley has taken a few classic scalps lately, and he knows full well what he is up against in Mayweather. Tickets are selling to supporters of both fighters, though understandably many just want to see Mayweather’s slick power game overcome the less technical Mosley over the course of what will surely be a classic brawl. Mosley is no stranger to being up against it and he has pulled off some great results this past few years. A last gasp knockout against multi-disciplined Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorga plus a comprehensive trouncing of Antonio Margarito in the ninth round mean Mosley is back in the limelight and loving every minute. Let’s take a look at both of them and compare each boxer’s strengths and weaknesses. Mayweather has stated that Mosley can’t handle his superior size and speed, but there are other factors working here too. Let’s try to predict the winner based on their respective qualities in three major departments: Weight and Movement, Power and Stamina, and Track Records.

Mayweather Expects Superior Size, Skills will Beat Mosley May 1

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has never been the most humble boxer around and it is this approach that has sold as many Mayweather tickets as any other aspect of the man’s game. As the date of his appointment with Shane Mosley nears, he is once more taking the superior attitude. That attitude has seen him go undefeated in a smashing career in which Money May has taken on and beaten all comers. In his latest pronouncement, Mayweather has claimed that his larger size and superior skills will see to it that 38-year old Shane Mosley will be defeated on May 1 in Vegas. The WBA Super World welterweight title at the MGM Grand is a mouth-watering prospect, and it is Mosley and his fans who some are saying will be the victors. Mosley currently holds that title, and Mayweather’s amazing 41 fight unbeaten record is the thing that stands between Mosley retaining the belt. Mosley Mayweather tickets will undoubtedly get boxing fans into the biggest fight of the year, and only the much-anticipated Mayweather Pacquiao tickets rush could possibly outdo this one.

Mayweather Mosley Camps: All in Agreement on New Drug Test Standards

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

If you’re worried that your Mayweather Mosley tickets won’t result in a real scrap like the Pacquiao shambles, don’t; Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his next opponent, welterweight champion Shane Mosley, have agreed to Olympic-style drug tests for their Las Vegas date on May 1, 2010. Many are speculating that the new form of testing will raise the standard for drug testing in boxing. Legal and other representatives from two fighters’ camps met with the national anti-doping agency recently and hammered out the terms of the new deal. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency run a battery of drug tests that are known to be more rigid than those ran by the state athletic commissions, which if anything guarantees a fairer fight, and possibly guarantees that the long-awaited Mayweather Pacquiao fight could one day be a reality. The agreement between Mayweather and Mosley’s camps has been described as a big event that will level the field for athletes. Under the new terms, Mayweather and Mosley will be required to take an unlimited number of random drug tests, both before and after the fight, drawn from both blood and urine samples. All samples will be stored in order that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency will have future access to them. Among the substances to be screened under the plan are human growth hormone and the anabolic “designer” steroid, hetrahydrogestrinone(THG). It was the drug test debate that caused the Mayweather Pacquiao fight to be called off, and this latest development, announced as Mayweather Mosley tickets sell like crazy, proves that Mayweather really is pretty serious about drug testing.

According to Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather is the biggest “face” in boxing, and has wanted to enact something like this for a long time. Anyone who wants to fight Mayweather will have to agree to the terms. State athletic commissions usually take urine samples but not blood, which cannot detect muscle-builders like human growth hormone. When the Pacquiao fight fell through after Mayweather demanded blood tests, Pacman’s promoter Bob Arum accused Mayweather of playing head-games. Mosley is a self-confessed steroid user, admitting he once took steroids before the De La Hoya fight in 2003, which Mosley attributes to the coach he used at the time.

The rigid measures employed by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency face a further test though; will the sporting and athletic authorities actually recognize the findings and implement appropriate punishments to boxers who are determined to have used the banned substances? Two-year bans have been mentioned as a deterrent/punishment, and members of the Nevada Athletic Commission have commented that any stricter measures used to prevent drug taking is perfectly OK by them. If you still need to buy those Mayweather v. Mosley tickets you need to move quick and make sure you are there in Vegas on May 1 for this, the biggest fight of 2010.

Mayweather Mosley Tickets. This is Boxing

Friday, March 19th, 2010

With the Manny Pacquiao disappointment we might be forgiven for thinking that this year’s boxing bonuses were all done, but not quite, folks; Mayweather Mosley tickets are setting the world alight right now as the Mayweather tickets rush gathers pace. The Pacquiao fight fell through and it broke the hearts of everyone who wnated this amazing fight, but Mosley is no pushover, mark my words. Mayweather is ready though, and his opponent is too. Pacquiao recently beat Clottey and is once again in search of a worthy foe, and most people believe that if Floyd can convincingly batter Mosley then he’ll be ready to go to war with Pacman. Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley tickets won’t be around long though, so make sure you are early to the race and grab yours. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is the place where Mayweather fights Mosley, and a lot of people are speculating wildly about who will do what in the ring on this one.

Mosley has been after a fight with Mayweather ever since he interrupted Mayweather’s post-fight interview after he beat Marquez in the his first comeback fight. Mosley is confident he can actually beat Mayweather, and this is not out of the question. That night, when Shane continually harangued Floyd, as he tried to give a winner’s interview with Max Kellerman, he instigated a bout of insult slinging and that could come back to haunt him. Mosley is a hard-hitting welterweight and he has every right to feel confident, but Mayweather is looking to prove a point those who still claim his Marquez victory was a hollow one, staged as it was a real fight but in fact Mayweather knew he couldn’t lose.

Mayweather Mosley tickets may well be the fastest-selling fight tickets of 2010, and Mayweather wil be the clear favorite.

Mosley will say that actions speak louder than words, and he’ll be looking to rely on his natural ability to land a big one and take the prize. Mosley will need to be fast, though, and he’d better have plenty in the tank because Floyd has power and intelligence in his corner – two qualities that are hard to punch your way through when the sweat is flying and the crowd is howling, and the legs have turned to jelly after several punishing rounds of relentless chasing. Make no mistake because that is what Floyd Mayweather brings to his fights. Those who dismissed Marquez were perhaps being a little absent-minded. Marquez is a tough old boxer, one with a lot of savvy and the crafty tendency to unleash sudden combinations on complacent opponents in the later rounds. Floyd was never in danger of succumbing to one of Marquez’s flurries, because he too is a wily fox, but he’s a big fox, and he has the punching power of a true champion.

Mayweather is boxing’s most adaptable fighter, and Mosley knows this. It appears he might have to use his own weapons, street toughness and a willingness to swing for a big hit, if he is to come away from this one with anyhing other than a sore head. Floyd Mayweather tickets going on sale again means that all of world boxing is once again obliged to check out what Floyd has to say in the ring. They know he’s a boxer who can read his foe like a book second; adapting as he goes forward, finding the chinks in the armor and changing his own shape in the process. Meanwhile, Pacquiao is waiting in the wings. Will Pacquiao be at the Mayweather Mosley fight? Tickets are moving and maybe Pacman himself actually has one. So it’s Mayweather Mosley tickets for a monster bout in Las Vegas on May 1, 2010!

Mayweather Mosley: Rumors Abound Once More

Friday, February 26th, 2010

According to someone “in the know” inside Floyd Mayweather’s camp, Mayweather is now balking at the thought of putting his neck on the line in the ring against Mosley for financial reasons. Let’s hope this latest rumor is not true, because Floyd can’t afford another debacle like the Pacqiao fight collapse, when many saw him as deliberately placing obstacles in the way of the bout happening. Mayweather v. Mosley tickets could be among 2010’s hottest boxing tickets, as Mosley is no pushover and this will be a fight, however Maweather may look at it.

“Floyd did the math and Floyd is saying, ‘Why should I take a potentially difficult bout against Mosley for $10 million or less when I get $40 million or more to fight Manny Pacquiao, and that could be an easier fight to win?,” this mysterious in-the-know person has said. Question is, is it true?

The answer – no way! Mayweather v Mosley is a dead certainty and Mayweather Mosley tickets are going to be one of the biggest selling boxing tickets this year. The gossipers are too busy contradicting themselves to give Money May and his fists time to talk. Fact is, Mayweather tickets are still the top draw in world boxing and Mosley represents a huge challenge in what is the most electric boxing scene in decades. With a host of other up-and-comers, like Amir Khan and Cesar Seda Jr., 2010 boxing will be as good as last year, and that is talking!

Mayweather Mosley Tickets on Sale Now!

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Mayweather v. Mosley tickets are now on sale, and the countdown has begun on what could be one of the best fights of 2010. Boxing schedules are never set in stone, as we saw with the Mayweather v Pacquiao fiasco, but this one looks like it is finally gonna happen. Mosley and Mayweather Jr. have now agreed to terms for the welterweight super fight, and it is all systems go in both camps as they train their guys up for the big one on May 1 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Shane has signed. I sat with him and we went through every provision of the contract and he signed,” Mosley’s attorney Judd Burstein has announced, adding, “he is excited to move forward with the bout.”

Mayweather was free to fight once his disastrous plan to fight Pacquiao collapsed, with pound-for-pound king Pacquiao off to fight Joshua Clottey at the Cowboys Stadium. Pacquiao v. Clottey tickets are also selling well, as America eagerly buys up tickets to any fight these two are involved in. The row over what drug testing protocol to employ in the run-in to the Mayweather Pacquiao bout was what ruined things, but everyone is hopeful that someday these men will go toe-to-toe and we’ll finally see who is the true king of world boxing. Negotiations immediately began for the Mayweather Mosley fight and Mayweather Mosley tickets have begun to move in serious quantity as the fight date looms.

In an almost comical coincidence, Mosley has agreed to random blood and urine testing, the very sticking point that derailed the Mayweather v. Pacqiuao fight. Maybe this time the two will be fighting and Mayweather v. Mosley tickets will be in your hands and worth their weight in gold!

Manny Floyd out, Super Bowl in

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Well while the Mayweather Pacquiao fight looks to be on hold for the foreseeable future, you can get Super Bowl tickets to see a battle of another type. We’ve got the Saints and Vikings in the NFC Championship, and the Cols and Jets in the AFC Championship, and the winners get to face off in Super Bowl XLIV. You definitely want to see the biggest sporting event of the year, besides a Mayweather Pacquiao fight, so get your tickets right away.

Mayweather Pacquiao: On Again, Off Again…

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Fans planning to purchase the Pacquiao-Mayweather tickets were confused last night (12/23) that the whole thing was off, after Pacman’s camp refused to play ball over Mayweather’s insistence on random drug tests for the Filipino.

The mind games are well and truly underway and Mayweather’s staff have been accused of trying to deflect criticism and suspicion of their
own fighter over the use of performance-enhancing substances. Today, Christmas Eve, it looks like the fight is back on again, or at least definitely not off, whatever the difference is.
